rainer eric If you just want easy listening, then this album is for you. If you like tracks that are so varied that they still sound new even after repeated listening, then this album is also for you. Fascinating. Favorite track: Fire Engine On Fire Pt II.

Kaspar Kütt What a great hidden gem we have here, beautiful melodies, exciting production and some of the best songs of the 2000's. Favorite track: Even Fantastica.

dalpo A slow-burn but timeless feel of an album. There's a lot more than it seems on the upstart of the album, and it really grows the further it goes on. I usually don't go for this type of music, but this album is fantastic. Something you really have to listen to in it's entirety when you give it a visit. Favorite track: Fire Engine On Fire Pt I.

"Since its initial release in 2004, Bluffer’s Guide to the Flight Deck—the debut effort from Flotation Toy Warning—has become somewhat of a cult favorite among the avant-pop set; a genre-swapping classic comparable to Flaming Lips’ Soft Bulletin and the Avalanches’ Since I Left You. The UK band spin their longform suites tightly and delicately as spiderwebs, connecting exotica-inflected ambient to psychedelic rock, Britpop to plunderphonics, downtempo electronica to acoustic folk. These rotating accoutrements, and the dynamic articulations between them, set a surprisingly smooth pace for the marathon-length tracks (9-and-a-half minute highlight “Donald Pleasance,” the ethereal two-fer “Fire Engine On Fire”). Sure, the arrangements dawdle now and again—Flotation Toy Warning are content to spend most of “Popstar Reaching Oblivion” basking in blurred synths—but they never durdle. My advice to prospective listeners: as with everything else in life, just go with it." Bandcamp

Happy 13 04:49
It was sunny on the day the journey began Seems i was a part of some lack of a plan Was i early? 'Cause you weren't ready Looking back now where it all seems bizarre The boy in the photo on the seat of the car That's me At least it was me Back then Please leave all shiny objects behind You won't need them where we're going Relax, take a deep breath, and concentrate now We really must be gone There's a risk in everything we undertake But now you must trust me more than anyone 'Cause i've seen things That you could only dream about I've been to places that you'll never find And i've had dreams that you couldn't even fit inside your head now All the places i wish i could find 'Cause i've seen things That you could only dream about I've been to places that you'll never find And i've had dreams that you couldn't even fit inside your head now All the places i wish i could find Guess we can't really choose exactly where we land But how fast you were bound is in your own hands Are you ready? Am i too early? Looking back now where it all seems bizarre The boy in the photo on the seat of the car That's me At least it was me Back then Relax, take a deep breath, and concentrate now We really must be gone There's a risk in everything we undertake Now, you must trust me more than anyone

I never knew what you thought was here Get another fear to add to the list I've been collecting little lies Just to put on the special tape I get them to play the day you die I'll tell them you were always frightened Just like anybody else And you cried inside just like me You seem to live with fingertips Wrapped around your face Does it keep the dark away? Talk to me and tell me that all of them are wrong And all my dreams will come in time Trying, trying to understand it all To understand it all just makes your head hurt Trying, trying to understand it all To understand it all just makes your head hurt Yes you have all the pieces they said that you had to collect But what did you expect that all to amount to? Trying, trying to understand it all To understand it all just makes your head hurt Trying, trying to understand it all To understand it all just makes your head hurt

I have the captain on the line Wants to know who made it through this time Wants to know who's smiling this time Don't know what the captain has to say, on how this decorated man became a boy Doesn't want to know that it's bed time Wants just one more game to see him through night time Although they took his men away, he wants the paper and the empty box to stay I have the captain on the line Wants to know who made it through this time Wants to know who's smiling this time Although they took his men away, he wants the paper and the empty box to stay "Drusky wanted God to return his youth and grant him the guitar-playing skills of the famous guitarists along with resurrecting his mother and his pet pigeon. If God failed to appear in court, federal rules of civil procedure said he must lose by default."

Good evening, welcome to the party Please sit wherever you want I love unicorns I loved you once Good evening, welcome to the party Please sit wherever you want I was a house once I moved out, you moved away Good evening, welcome to the party Please sit wherever you want Good evening, welcome to the party Goodnight

Came to say how you feel today, how you feel inside You can't tell me that you know how it feels When you don't seem to feel at all You came here today to tell me this, you think I'm stupid? This is the funeral of our love I came here only to say goodbye Leonard stop the trains by any certain means I couldn't bear to board another She not me was the dealer With a tiny useless fucking shelter David pass me the wine, like you I'm "really not fine" Did I really mean her harm? I never set foot in the country Donald tell me why pleasance never gets me anywhere, anymore Was the lovely man from Mars? I never liked Venus at all This brittle house our love has stained I've left before and I'll leave again But your little blue moods drag me in But I know you won't be bringing me down this time Growing pains and empty days Records played and certain shades of blue remind me still of you But I know you won't be bringing me down this time You can't tell me that you know how it feels When you don't seem to feel at all This is the funeral of our love I came here only to say goodbye This is the funeral of our love I came here only to say goodbye This is the funeral of our love I came here only to say goodbye

It's not always easy to know when to stop 'Cause the biggest pig of all is love Be my bad dog if you want Be my true hog if you want Absence makes the heart grow stronger that's what they say But how can I miss you at all if you won't go away? Be my bad dog if you want Be my true hog if you want I lose my train of thought I lose my train of thought Please help me now, 'cause I am falling down You left here without me, now I'm falling down Save me from myself, 'cause I'm falling down...

I have the tapes I have the plan of a clockwork man He was happy to walk Where I always ran When I'm orchestrated, automated, decimated, regulated From three folls' creek From underground by a despot man and a clown If you choose to walk instead with a clockwork man Map of warm roads in his concrete hand Tell me, does he miss reeling? Does he miss falling? Can he take you where the boom bands play? When you're underground Can he read the sounds And chase the Hakken-Kraks away?
8.
I could never ask for what I really wanted So I bought one for you, just to see me through So put your hand in my hand and we'll swim through warmer waters Push through the tiny door into the ball Each and every room is different from the other one There's one for every day of a beautiful life Delivery in a broken box means better in-flight video I'm afraid I've heard it all before This one has no gravity and that one's upside down And that one's full of buttons you press to feel The all round audio-visual masterpiece of pleasure But you must still be ready for the falls Not all of them are happy and some are far from funny But every one will help you on your way Everything you want is here, though I'd better make it clear This soul's mine and that's the way it's going to stay Everyone you know is here, even those that disappeared They just hid out here amongst the trees
9.
Can you tell me why you left me here all on my own? Can you hear me? Do you listen to me? 'Cause I need you But you once told me that friends don't need me They just need someone to phone when they have nobody, Nobody else to shout at when they're so very down I have a book in which that I write everything And I know where you've been One day I'll tell them how I defeated you And how I took your throne As the meanest bastard in all Alberquerque And how I'm happy alone

So sad, have you seen your soul in the Sunday papers? Trying hard to step aside for death Service with a smile, the reel to reel rank and file Looking at your face and I seem misplaces, ah ha ha Look at me with my face in the middle of the Sunday paper Laughing on the side, looking on the bright side Black side, downside, never on the outside Looking at the ways you choose to keep it like a dream and a house in the middle Christmas present in the middle of June, well I've been fooled before and so have you, ah ha ha All the songs will be with you and all the flowers will be with me But I can't seem to forget you And all the clowns will be with you and all the children sing with me (I can hear the rolling seas and I can feel the summer breeze) But I can't seem to forget you (But I cannot leave you here, I know you want me to) Christmas present in the middle of June, I've been wrong before but so have you, ah ha ha Look at me with my face in the middle of the Sunday paper Christmas present in the middle of June, I've been wrong before but so have you, ah ha ha Looking at the ways you choose to keep it like a dream and a house in the middle Christmas present in the middle of June, I've been fooled before but so have you, ah ha ha

about

Flotation Toy Warning UK

Most of the band met whilst working in Nth London in a sprawling old grey brick building. They agreed to live together in an old warehouse with no windows in E. London, ideal for making as much noise as you wanted, whenever you wanted. Which they did, by plugging things into other things that shouldn’t rightly be plugged into anything, then singing through them until something interesting happened. ... more
